Meet Our Coaches

Chris Snell serves as our Board President and is a dedicated World Rugby Level 1 Certified Coach, bringing a deep passion for the sport and a lifetime of leadership to our community. Chris’s rugby journey began at Bloomington High School South, where he played for three years, culminating in his senior year as a starting forward and team co-captain. After high school, Chris answered the call to service and joined the U.S. Marine Corps, deploying to multiple corners of the globe, including Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. After 20 years of being out of the game of rugby, Chris was drawn back to the pitch after being recruited by local Old Boys. Motivated by his love for the game and a powerful desire to give back to the community that raised him, Chris returned to the sport to help lead and grow the next generation of rugby players.

Elias serves as our Board Secretary and is a World Rugby Level 1 Certified Coach, dedicated to sharing his lifelong love for competitive sports with the next generation. A former high school athlete, Elias has a long-standing connection to athletics that continues to shape his work today. He currently plays rugby for Columbus Rhinos, maintaining a strong, active presence on the pitch while bringing his firsthand player perspective to our leadership team. Elias is deeply passionate about expanding access to youth athletics and is focused on supporting the growth and development of the sport he loves through the Hoosiers United Rugby Club.

Same Greathouse serves as the Backs Coach. He is a World Rugby Level Certified Coach, bringing eight years of playing experience to the role. He began playing rugby in junior high and continued through the collegiate level, primarily playing in the wing position. His background includes experience in both 15s and 7s, giving him a well-rounded understanding of backline play, positioning, communications, and decision.
